What is the AlayaCare Family Portal?
The AlayaCare Family Portal is a safe and secure online application for clients and family members. It complies with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Approved users can use the AlayaCare Family Portal to view selected parts of a client’s KidsInclusive electronic health record.
Benefits
The AlayaCare Family Portal offers secure access to online health information, including a limited view of a client’s record with KidsInclusive.
On a computer, tablet or phone, users can see:
- Recent and upcoming visits (last and next) and scheduled visits for the previous and the next 6 months
- Documents, letters and reports dating back to September 2024
- The client’s care team (staff’s name, title, email, phone extension)
- Parent forms/questionnaires to complete
Privacy and Confidentiality
Only authorized clients and families have access to the Family Portal.
- You need a username (email) and password to log on
- You must keep your login information private, not share it, and contact KidsInclusive immediately if you think someone else has used your account
- You must keep all information in the Family Portal confidential, including reports, photographs, staff information and contact details
Risks and Responsibilities
The Family Portal securely protects your personal and health information. However, you must take care when using the Family Portal to keep the information private and confidential.
You are responsible for:
- Checking that information is correct and up to date, and informing KidsInclusive of errors
- Notifying KidsInclusive if your login details are lost or stolen
- Keeping information private, including anything you download, print, or share
- Using a secure device (computer, tablet, or phone) that you trust to access the portal
