The School Age Team provides multidisciplinary assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children from grade 1 until the end of high school, who demonstrate significant motor impairments, such as; cerebral palsy, limb deficiencies or genetic syndromes. Others may have complex or generalized delays of unknown origin.
Children are seen for formal multidisciplinary clinic reviews as needed every 2 years or at key transition times (e.g., transition from primary to junior school, transition to high school and transition to adult services). Appointments with individual team members can be scheduled at other times to work on specific goals to optimize the child’s participation at home, in school and in the community.
The school age team also offers a variety of groups and camps. There are specific eligibility criteria for each of these programs. Please see the group section of our website or speak to your therapist for more information.
