Infant and Child Development Program

The Infant and Child Development Program is a home based program that provides services to children from birth to school entry who have an established developmental delay or are identified as at risk for delay. Families are provided a variety of services based on the individual child and family’s needs.

These include:

  • Regular home visits by an Infant and Child Development Consultant
  • Monitoring of the child’s development through developmental screening and assessment
  • Play-based developmental programming and activities to meet the child’s needs
  • Information and support to families about their child’s development or diagnosis
  • Assistance to families in accessing appropriate community resources

Referrals to the Infant and Child Development Program are accepted directly from parents, or from a physician, therapist or community service provider on their behalf. Please see our online referral form on our How to Refer page.

Kids Connecting

Kids Connecting is a playgroup for parents and their children from birth to age 6 who are receiving services or waiting for services by KidsInclusive or the Infant and Child Development Program. The playgroup is offered weekly, September to June, in partnership with the Ontario Early Years Centre.
