Introduction to Emotional Regulation

This session is facilitated by a Psychotherapist and a FASD System Navigator of the KidsInclusive team.  It is designed for parents/caregivers who are interested in learning more about emotion regulation and the value of co-regulation for neuro-divergent children and youth.

As a result of attending this session, parents/caregivers will be able to:

  1. Understand how emotion regulation develops
  2. Identify factors that may interfere with regulation
  3. Identify potential strategies/interventions to support their child

There will be both an educational component, as well as opportunity for questions and discussion.

Understanding Food Selectivity

This session is facilitated by an Occupational Therapist (OT) and a Family Resource Consultant (FRC).

As a result of attending this session, parent/caregivers will be able to:

  1. Understanding why your child may experience food selectivity
  2. Recognize the role you and your child have in mealtime (set up environment and routine)
  3. Build your toolbox by providing a variety of strategies
