Early Expressions Parent Training
Early Language Parent Training:
Talking Together and Reading Together are webinars that make up our Early Language Parent Training program, offered by Early Expressions at KidsInclusive. These webinars provide strategies to use when talking, playing, and reading with your child. They can be watched at any time and can be stopped/restarted as needed. If your child has been recommended this program by an Early Expressions Speech-Language Pathologist, you will also be offered a follow-up session with one of our therapy assistants.

Wee Sounds: Early Speech Parent Training
Wee Sounds is a parent training program offered by Early Expressions through KidsInclusive. The program combines an online parent training webinar and a follow-up session with one of our therapy assistants. Parents will gain knowledge and understanding of speech development and production and develop skills for listening to speech sounds and modelling speech.

Part 2 of our Tackling Toileting series will review setting up a toileting routine for success, looking at the bathroom environment, clothing considerations, as well as sensory and timed training.
Part 3 of our Tackling Toileting series will review setting up an action plan with interventions to start toilet training and set you on a routine to lead to the ultimate goal of having your child consistently and independently communicate their need to void and successfully void on the toilet.

Part 1 focuses on using visual tools to support your child’s expressive communication through choice-making. This webinar is a collaboration with KidsInclusive and The Maltby Centre.

Part 2 focuses on using visual tools to support your child understand information using First-Then boards, Task Strips and Visual Schedules. Our Understanding Food Selectivity series has been created for caregivers of children who are experiencing difficulty with mealtimes and/or selective eating. Part 1 talks about reasons why your child may experience food selectivity.
Part 2 of our Food Selectivity series is about recognizing the role you and your child have in mealtime. We will discuss creating a positive mealtime environment and developing a routine.
Understanding Food Selectivity – Part 3
Part 3 of our Understanding Food Selectivity focuses on building a toolbox of strategies for supporting your child with selective eating. Additional references are available at the end of this video.
